PFPSF Patient Education Material

What is Patient Safety?

Patient safety has become an increasingly important concern as healthcare delivery becomes more specialized and complex. The provision of healthcare requires seamless coordination among healthcare teams, and when communication breaks down, medical harm can occur. Many safety protocols in healthcare systems may fail to function as intended, leading to avoidable harm to patients. It is now widely acknowledged that patients themselves can play a significant role in minimizing such harm.

What is the Patients for Patient Safety Foundation?

The Patients for Patient Safety Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to:

Raising awareness about best medical practices among the general public,
Sharing valuable patient insights with healthcare professionals, and
Encouraging patients, including their families, to actively engage in their own medical care.

Patient Education Materials

We are pleased to offer a variety of patient education materials, generously provided by Patients for Patient Safety Foundation, India. We encourage healthcare providers to utilize these valuable resources to engage patients in safety matters, which are essential to delivering safe and high-quality care.
